Welcome to Kakariko Village!

Sahasralah speaks...
Hello, visitor. I am Sahasralah, the elder and descendant of the seven sages. Lend me about five minutes of your time so I can explain some things and show you around Kakariko Village.

There is so much that you can see around Kakariko Village! There is my house, the man with the overgrown front yard, who knows quite a bit about certain things here in Hyrule, and the tavern, which has lots and lots of root beer! Even so, I haven't said even half of all the goodies here in my home village. Go explore a bit and meet me at the front gates so I can take you some where else in Hyrule-and beyond.

Here is where you must meet Sahasralah at...
...in northern Kakariko Village. If you go west a little ways, you'll find the current owner of an old thieves' hide-out. There are all kinds of rumors that go around about this place. That's because the owner only lets certain people down into the first basement floor. Whoever goes in there either leave when no one sees them, or they don't tell anyone in the first place. But, still hardly anyone knows what's down there. The owner won't tell, why should we?
The owner of the overgrown lawn tells you more...
Well! I'm surprised you came to see me! No one ever comes because of my yard... Sorry, I haven't gotten the chance to cut it down, but thanks for coming...Hmmmmm.....Hey, I know! To acknowledge your feat coming to see me, I'll teach you some things that I know.

First, I want to tell you about a lake north of the magic shop. It's filled with Zoras! According to the many rumors going around about it, the Zoras can somehow turn people into fish! I'd like to see that!

Also, there is the Pond of Happiness, in the cave on the island at the center of Lake Hylia in southeast Hyrule. People say that if you throw in a lot of Rupees-Dark X, who has done this, says you have to throw in about one hundred Rupees-you'll cause a good thing to happen! Try it once, and then tell me about it. But, there's more to talk about!

Then, there's the cave northeast of Lake Hylia. It is said that there is a mystical weapon in there that can freeze objects for a while. Also, in that same cave, there is a golden bee that rests peacefully in its slumber. It sleeps in the back of a statue of a fairy. The bottle-selling man, who is northwest of here, says he'd pay someone one hundred Rupees for one-as long as it's awake. That rule made everyone unable to get one because no one had ever figured out how to get it, nor how to awaken it, not even how to bring it back to the salesman! It can only be awoke by a special means of taking it out of the statue. That's only half the battle. Then you have to figure out how to catch it, and then you'll have to figure out what to put it in (it can escape ordinary jars and bottles). Only rare Magic Bottles can hold the golden bee in it.
